Alternative Dispute Resolution

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) offers individuals and businesses the ability to resolve disputes through methods that are alternatives to litigation in court or before an administrative body. Boardman Law Firm has several attorneys who are experienced in the art of ADR. On many occasions, our attorneys have themselves served as mediators and arbitrators. On other occasions, our attorneys have represented clients in presenting their claims and defenses in ADR proceedings.

  • Mediation: Mediation is a non-binding form of dispute resolution. The parties select an independent mediator who seeks common ground between the parties. The mediator cannot impose a resolution on the parties.
  • Arbitration: Arbitration is generally binding. The parties present their respective cases to an arbitrator, who acts as a neutral, trained third party. Arbitration is like a private court, with the arbitrator deciding the outcome of the dispute.

For further information about our ADR services, please contact Henry Field, Earl Munson, Cathy Rottier or any of our other litigation attorneys.

Public Speaking

Many Boardman Law Firm attorneys are available to give presentations in their areas of expertise.

Our attorneys have made presentations to a variety of professional associations, business groups, civic clubs, small business classes and more. In some cases, we can also deliver in-house training on topics of interest to groups of managers or employees.

Our attorneys focus on providing timely, "real-world" information to their audiences. We appreciate the opportunity to help people make better decisions through an understanding of the legal implications.

For more information, please contact the attorney of your choice or contact Donna V. Hurd, Executive Director, at (608) 283-7533 or dhurd@boardmanlawfirm.com.
